The Tories can only fool people some of the time ...

In the May 2007 town and district elections in Chatteris's Mills Ward, Conservative election leaflets promised that they would "maintain progress on a swimming pool and leisure centre". What progress have they made in nearly three years? On a leisure centre? - practically none! On a swimming pool? - absolutely none!

On the eve of the June 2009 County Council Elections, the Conservative candidate published a letter in the Cambs Times which claimed that he had secured £1.5 million for Chatteris leisure facilities. Following that amazing revelation he narrowly won that election. However it was later proved that no such monies were ever promised to Chatteris!

So remember, if the Tories make you promises in the by-election in Chatteris Mills ward on Thursday 4 March - do you think you can believe them?
